Here's the Box Breakdown
first look in the honey crate
Our first glimpse inside My Honey Crate. Our theme is "Give Thanks"

what's in the my honey crate
Everything that we received in our My Honey Crate... what an amazing selection of items. And in case you didn't watch the unboxing this is the kind of box we feel really strongly about and love to support!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert lists each of the items that we received. And also tells us what charity they'll be giving to this quarter.. NYC Beekeeping

A few fun stickers and a magnet to bedazzle your stuff with! We really like the bee magnet and already put it on our car!

A cute tote to put all your honey products in!

e b apiaries bee pollen
This bee pollen is derived from wildflowers. We weren't aware that you could eat bee pollen but you totally can. Add this to yogurt or granola or anything to add a bit of a sweet flavor. This will enhance any pollen allergies though so.. if you're allergic you might want to stay away!

the stick and the ball granola
Handcrafted in small batches this granola contains no preservatives, additives, fillers, dyes or ANYTHING you can't pronounce and is slightly sweetened with Hawaiian honey - yummy (and good for you)!

heart nectar wood polish
$6.95
Protect, clean and revive your wooden furniture with this organic polish and sealant. Put this on anything because it's harmless - cutting boards or even children's toys!

Surprisingly this had no smell and we are amazed that something like this exists! What an awesome alternative to those nasty store bought chemical polishes!?

keystone colonies
This fall harvest amber honey is harvested in North Philadelphia (HOLLA) and is bold and full of bright fruity notes. So yummy!

This month we also received some honey inspired recipes!

Our favorite item in this box is this beeswax wrap which is essentially a more sustainable sort of saran wrap and it has some pretty cool patterns!

You just wash and reuse! The heat of your hands helps this to mold to the bowl that you are using. It really is awesome!

There is this cute little sticker from Bee Swell as well as a subscriber only coupon code. Purchases from Bee Swell go to supporting bee populations.

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The My Honey Crate is an excellent way to not only support beekeepers and bee colonies in general - it's a great way to find out about bee products! The presentation is great, everything is packaged excellently and arrives exactly as it should. The quality is fantastic. Each item is either handmade in small batches or made by nature (which is pretty much as good as it can get). The curation is fantastic. Not only are these all bee related items but they've managed to put things in that we would never have known existed otherwise. We love My Honey Crate!
