Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Encourage Play Kit

Everything that we received in the August Encourage Play Kit.
The theme was “Managing the Unexpected” and I was pretty interested in all of the things we received. If you watched the unboxing you know it wasn’t immediately clear what the little peanuts were intended for ….

So, what is all this stuff?

Magic Nuudles
Inserts
Highlights find the Unexpected Sheet
Sunprint Kits

Okay, so now what?

We did the family activity first. This was a sheet of “find the unexpected things” which is particularly apt for this box. There’s a couple of sunflowers in there wearing sunglasses which is pretty righteous and apt if you ask me.
Next we did the sunprints which are something I had NEVER heard of before.
The instructions were right on the back and pretty darn simple if you ask me.
I actually decided to use the girls flower girl flowers to do the prints as a way to preserve them.
Okay so now looking back I see that I did this wrong and the print proves it. I do now know what to do next time!
Our next batch will be better – I promise.
Finally we did the Magic Nuudels.
These were so easy and so fun even Oliver got in on all this action. I’m glad we saved this for last because this turned into a nonstop all afternoon activity. I will definitely be getting these again.
The girls helped out their brother and they all wound up building tons of things together!
They got a plastic trashbag to put them all in so they can continue playing with them (which I am still sort of surprised about).
Seriously, I had never heard of these before but the kids had an absolute blast with them! Who would have thought? It’s also worth noting that Magic Nuudels are made from corn and completely biodegradable.
Just one of the many creations made with Magic Nuudels!

So, in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. Encourage Play has an awesome way of tying everything together for us! The theme of this kit is “Managing the Unexpected” and everything included in this box was unexpected — even from the parental aspect. Although in the form of a good little surprise! For this we think that the curation of Encourage Play is 100 stars and 1 million thumbs ups or whatever constitutes awesome! Presentation is great and Quality is awesome too! I found out about two entirely new products with this box that are super cool! I love this box!
