Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the box
Here is everything that I received in the October Devotea USA Box
There are four teas and two little candies. There is A LOT of tea in here, three and a half ounces to be exact. This assortment seemed really fun and I was eager to give these all a try. Also, I have a cold so this is definitely a welcome time for tea.

So what is all this stuff?

Star Spangled Chai
I received 1/2 an ounce of this masala chai blend tea that is part of the Devotea’s core collection. This has a hit of Star Anise which is pretty unique and an easily recognizable scent. The flavor however, is a beautiful blend that is aromatic and smooth and evens out the Anise!
The paper included with the box not only tells about each unique tea but also each tea’s unique steeping instructions. This tea, for instance is steeped 2-4 minutes and requires one teaspoon of tea.

I mixed mine with milk but it’s good both with or without milk!
Chamomile Tea
I received 1 ounce of this Chamomile from Elmwood Inn. It’s a tisane tea (I had to look that up) but basically it means it’s an herbal infusion. Composed only of perfectly formed Egyptian Chamomile flowers. This tea is caffeine free.
It was definitely the most beautiful of all the teas. This is heady, in that it is really aromatic. Very nice if you want to snuggle up with a mug of tea and read a book. To steep you simply steep 2 teaspoons in boiling water for 2-4 minutes.
Nilgiri Craigmore Tea
I received 1 ounce of this Nilgiri Craigmore Black tea and I will be honest, I had never heard of it before. I had to do a bit of research but it seems Nilgiri mountains are located in India where the tea is grown. This is a Lochan Tea
This was definitely the simplest of all the teas in terms of flavor. It’s an absolute all around, everyday tea. Mr. I’m Not a Tree’s favorite by far!
Steeping on this tea calls for 1 teaspoon for 2-4 minutes. It steeps very strongly though, so for my second cup I went a little light and added honey! It was grand!
I received 1 ounce of this tea as well, it was my favorite!
This was so delicious, the vanilla was so rich and the tea meshed with it so wonderfully it was magical! This tea is steeped for 2-4 minutes and uses 1 teaspoon. it’s from Teas Etc.
Candy
A couple taffy’s never hurt anything! These were a nice little treat that came with the box!

So, in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Devotea USA is an awesome option for tea lovers! We love the array of teas that we were sent for their uniqueness and all around great flavors and quality. They have done a lot of the legwork when it comes to trying and finding new and unique tastes and flavors, so the curation of this box is very nice. Presentation is also well done. Everything comes packaged really nicely and the candies were a really “sweet” touch. You can also look around their shop if you are more interested in buying just one tea or a tea related gift here
We couldn’t do a typical price breakdown because we could’t find the prices of a couple of the teas. However for the three month subscription it’s $36 which seems completely worth it to us!
