Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Eco-Cha Tea Club Box
Everything that we received in our Eco-Cha Box
Everything is packaged so well and looks like it’s going to be great!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box inserts. Included is information not only about the tea but also detailed steeping instructions.
Bamboo Tea Scoop
To be quite honest we weren’t familiar with this item when we first saw it. It’s clearly unvarnished bamboo and is definitely some sort of tea utensil but what exactly, wasn’t clear
After looking around online we’ve come to realize this is a tea scoop. Allows us to measure accurately and keeps tea fresher!
Eco-Cha Dong Ding Tieguanyin Oolong Tea
This oolong tea boasts a tangy, citrus, and full bodied flavor. I was particularly impressed with this packaging and the inner packaging of the tea as well
It’s vacuum sealed for freshness. I’ve NEVER seen that in tea before. I have seen coffee like this but not tea. I think it’s pretty cool! The box tells us that this tea was handpicked in Yonglong, Taiwan in Winter 2015
The actual tea is more of a small green bud than a leaf and smells quite earthy and “green”. I brew my tea by the mug in lieu of a whole kettle (I’d never be able to finish it) but the box insert includes instructions on Single Mug Brewing, Cold Brewing, and Gong Fu Brewing.
Because the Tieguanyin tea leaf from Northern Taiwan and Dong Ding Oolong from Central Taiwan processes are crossed it is thought that this creates a more vibrant flavor with a higher oxidation and cleaner roast effect
We thought it was fantastic. It finishes clean and has an earthy yet citrusy flavor that is completely unique. There’s also a very light sweetness that makes this so complex and absolutely tasty!

So in summary

We can’t do our typical break down with this box because we already know what we’re getting. But we can say that the Eco-Cha Tea Club Box is excellently packaged and everything arrived to us in perfect condition. We can also say that the quality is amazing. This is top of the line tea and tastes, smells, and looks wonderful! This box is for you if you like to try different types of artisanal teas and love a surprise!
We love the Eco-Cha Tea Club Subscription and thought the Dong Ding Tieguanyin Tea that we received was absolute tops!
