Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Sci-Squad! Debut Subscription Box!
Love the metallic tissue. It’s the perfect look for this box!
Everything that we received in the Debut “Music is Magic” Box
We love the variety and the fun feeling!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert complete with all appropriate tags and hashtags. We just love #squaddies
Our Thank You was too cute not to share as well!
Is it Neil or Buzz? Or … Matt Damon a la The Martian?
The world may never know!
Stickers & Tattoos
There were tons of these adorable stickers and tattoos branded with the Sci-Squad! Logo! This is the large sticker that we received
We also received these incredibly cool Sci-Squad Tattoos.
And of course a few of these smaller stickers. We love the little ray gun…
Sparko Sweets Planet Lollipop
$1.79
This is so cool! And the entire lolli is edible. We found ourselves staring at that holographic planet center for much longer than we should have!
This had a standard lollipop flavor. The center where the image of the planet is, is a bit more “jelly-ish” than the rest of the lollipop. These are awesome for gifts or party favors!
Funko Groot Keychain
$5.99
Kinda super fitting considering this blog’s name, no? Since this is a keychain we will definitely be keeping this little dancing cutie for ourselves. This was a Box Bonus item!
Music Art Print
by Anita Micaella
This Avatar-esque art print flows perfectly with the music and movement theme of this box. The blues are really great and we think that this would be an awesome addition to your collector room, computer room, or home theatre!
Black Canary Comic
$2.99
We received Black Canary but other possibilities (because of their music related nature) were Deadpool The Musical, and Spider Gwen, This comic was released in September of 2015 which was an awesome month  (we got married). Love the 60’s style artwork!
Funko Pop! Fifth Element Diva Plavalaguna
$9.50
This is a great addition for us – The Fifth Element reminds us of high school and has all those “elements” of nostalgia. We are also noticing there is a blue color scheme with this box. Whether it was intentional or unintentional we have to say that we really like it! This will go with all of our other POP’s, up high where the kids can admire but not destroy
Phonogram Vol. 3: The Immaterial Girl
$13.48
This is the third in the Phonogram graphic novel series. In keeping with the musical spirit of this subscription box, this graphic novel series hones in on Britpop and one Britpop Goddess in particular
This volume focuses on Emily Aster and her issues with dual personality and identity crisis
The artwork by Jamie McKelvie is amazing!

So in summary

We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Sci-Squad! Subscription Box is a fun new box full of everything to tide you over with geeky goodies each month. The presentation is awesome, a very fun splay of  items cleverly packaged. We love the kitschy feeling of this sub! The quality is awesome, the Funko POPS are always a great inclusion. The graphic novel is amazing and was an excellent choice. The curation is FABULOUS, The theme “Music is Magic” is unique and well executed. Each item belongs in this box and has a place. We think this is definitely a great new box to keep our eyes on!
As far as box economy the Sci-Squad! Subscription Box costs $29.99 monthly and while we couldn’t find prices for every item the items that we did find totalled $34 alone. We definitely think this box is an amazing deal!
