Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Culture Carton Box
Everything that we received in our August Culture Carton Box. This is the “Brickell Men’s Grooming Box” and contains an assortment of men’s skincare products from Brickell!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert
The reverse details each of the items we received as well as a bit about the theme!
We received a bundle from Brickell Men’s Products. The assortment included everything men need for their daily face care routine. The total value of the three products included is $77. We’ve reviewed a few of Brickell’s products in the past and think they’re amazing! So you can imagine how excited we were when we saw this box included a 4 ounce bottle of their all natural facial moisturizer!
This lightweight formulation doesn’t really have much of a smell but definitely keeps skin soft and amazing. You can use this product both morning and night!
This 4 ounce tub of facial scrub includes exfoliating ingredients like pumice that gently help to exfoliate skin as well as a huge roster of botanical extracts that help to reduce redness and diminish the appearance of fine lines
We were surprised that this had a jelly like consistency. The smell is a bit like menthol or camphor which seems really appropriate for a men’s product. All you have to do to use this product is apply a quarter sized amount to skin and rub in circles. Rinse with warm water (that’s it)! Use 2-4 times a week
Brickell Clarifying Gel Face Wash
The final item in our Brickell trio is this clarifiying face wash. This is a huge bottle at 8 ounces and smells a lot like the facial scrub with a deep minty and earthy smell. Using coconut based cleansers this gel is gentle yet effective and the inclusion of geranium washes away impurities with it’s anti-septic qualities.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
This novel from the future takes place in 2044. Wade Watts, a teenager, escapes his reality by entering the “OASIS” a virtual reality with codes and puzzles that he is determined to crack. There are players though that will kill to win and Wade may be in over his head.
We looked this book up and they’re actually turning it into a movie! This sounds really good and Mr. I’m Not a Tree is excited for it as well
So in summary
We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Culture Carton Box is as always a great box full of essentials for the modern man. We love this subscription for any trendsetting or cutting edge man you may know. The presentation is great, everything arrives perfectly. The quality is amazing – we are in love with Brickell and love the products they included in this month’s box. The curation is wonderful. This month was devoted to skincare and they delivered. The book is fresh and different and we love that the book inclusions never feel repetitive or boring.
As far as box economy the Culture Carton that we received costs $45 and for that we received $93 in products which is an amazing deal!
