Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Figberry Box
Everything that we received in our Figberry Box for November. This month’s recipe is “Golden Pistachio Bites” which sound quite tasty!
So what is all this stuff?
Here’s our box insert. On the left we have our recipe and ingredients (we receive EVERYTHING you need). Good to note – having a food processor makes this a lot easier though! The right side explains what exactly about this recipe makes it healthy!
Oats are one of the key ingredients in this recipe
Our Golden Pistchio Bites call for just a dash of cinnamon!
Untapped All Natural Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
The Maple Syrup in our bites acts as a binding ingredient and contains 24 antioxidants as well as Zinc and Manganese. Definitely the star of this month’s show!
These golden raisins bring our recipe a sweet pop of flavor and help to give our energy bites some consistency and shape!
Pistachios are a great way to get long lasting energy and the plant based kind!
Okay so now what?
Since our last Figberry review we’ve gotten a food processor which made these recipes infinitely easier! We grabbed Oliver and made our energy bites with the help of those little hands!
The recipe is super simple! All you have to do is put all the ingredients into your food processor
Once they’re all in there you just pulse it until a sticky dough forms
At this point you start rolling them into 12 – 1″ balls
Finally, once you’ve done this simply refrigerate until you are ready to enjoy. We packed these in the girls lunches to give them all day energy!
So in summary
We can’t break Figberry down the same way we do other subscriptions. Each month this box will contain snack ingredients and so it isn’t a mystery box in the traditional sense. However, we can say that this is one of the coolest ways to get kids into the kitchen with you. And you don’t have to worry about hot ovens or knives! All you need to do is teach them about the different ingredients and why they’re healthier for you! Loved doing this and Oliver had a blast!
