Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Dinnerly Subscription Box
So what is all this stuff?
Our first recipe is a BBQ Chicken Skillet Pizza. One of the things that keeps the cost down on the Dinnerly box is the absence of a paper recipe card. Instead, they email you your weekly recipes. They also include less ingredients – so there’s less cleanup for you! This recipe included just 6 ingredients from the box and we added our own salt and pepper.
This recipe was simple and quite interesting. We had never cooked a pizza in a skillet and we certainly weren’t expecting such crunch and delicious results!
The funniest thing is that we never would have chosen this recipe ourselves but it was absolutely phenomenal!
Another limited ingredient recipe (and we use that garlic for 2 of our meals!) There were only 5 ingredients included for this delicious, smoky pasta. We did have to add our own egg but no worries on our end!
We had no idea that a carbonara sauce wasn’t made with cream or milk and was made with egg yolk! Now that we know how simple this is to make we’ll definitely be recreating this again! Mr. Not a Tree was thoroughly impressed with this entire box and he isn’t an easy sell!
Our absolute favorite of the meals that were included in this box was this delicious Mediterranean Meatball Pita. This recipe had slightly more ingredients (still just 7) but was definitely more aligned to our own flavor profile.
Next we juiced the lemon
Then we mince two cloves of garlic
As well as slice our cucumber diagonally and toss with oil garlic and salt
Now we mix our egg (from home) and pita and mash with a fork
Then you’ll add your ground beef, ras el hanout and garlic and mix. Roll out 12 meatballs from the mixture and broil for approximately 7 minutes
Next step is the Tahini. Mix lemon juice, tahini and water and mix until creamy. Season to taste with salt and pepper ( we honestly didn’t need any).
You’ll end up with something like this – absolutely delicious!
Your final step is to oven warm your pitas and plate! This was the most gorgeous of all the meals as well as tasty… maybe we eat more with our eyes?!
A tasty dish if you ask us!
So in summary
We can’t break this subscription down the way we normally do because we know what we’re receiving each week. But we do love the quality of each of the recipes we made as well as the price of this subscription. This is our absolute favorite meal delivery subscription service and we are so happy with the results of each of our meals!
