Subscription Box Review
Our first glimpse inside the Oceanista Box for Spring.
Everything that we received in our Spring 2019 Oceanista Box. The theme for the season is “Lime in the Coconut” and there are so many fantastic items!
Okay so what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. These are really nice and walk us through each of our items. They also tell us about this season’s featured artisans.
There’s even a recipe in there this season! We also really like that they list each of the retail values for the items included, this season’s box was valued at over $200.
Our first item and this season’s spoiler is this outdoor pillow from Betsy Drake Interiors. This pillow has a great story attached to it, Drake was walking inside and quickly snapped this photo of her daughter’s sitting seaside with their drinks. She then went on to translate it to a painting creating this unique and double sided pillow. It will be an excellent addition to your outdoor decor!
And of course it has the B. Drake insignia on the bottom right corner.
This overnight tanning product is lightweight and moisturizes in addition to tanning your skin. Infused with ginseng and red hibiscus you are sure to reap some of the benefits of these botanicals.
We received a full sized 4.5 ounce bottle. Subscribers who have deeper skin tones received comparable products.
Next we have the Oceanista Exfoliating Body Wash (this would be great to use before your new sunless tanner). This formula contains crushed walnut shell, coconut oil and orange peel for a brightening, exfoliating experience!
This is also a full sized 8 ounce bottle.
The Andre’e line creates beautifully vintage inspired and bohemian pieces that are both fun and flattering. Included in this Spring Oceanista Box is a gorgeous white tunic with the most elegant embroidering.
We love how long this is and think this would be great over a bathing suit and can we talk about how gorgeous that orange is? You all know how we love our orange!
The embroidery is present on the back and sleeves as well and makes this an absolutely stunning piece.
This cute little clutch is perfect for a summer night out! This would look great with your new tunic and we can’t get over how pretty that tropical print is!
The inside is lined with pink and includes a zippered pocket for smaller items.
Our featured artisan for the quarter is Diane Agujo with Weave Tassy Co. Headquartered in the Philippines this company creates pieces that are made with love and filled with heart and soul.
The blue of this bracelet reminds us of the ocean and because it’s an exclusive you can’t find this one on their website!
Each of these handmade bracelets have finds that are plated in 16K gold. We love the cord they use and think this would look great with a t-shirt and jeans.
Second to last we have these handmade clay earrings from Jilzarah. This is the “salt water taffy” style and we think this color is beautiful and also matches both our tunic and clutch.
We absolutely adore this triangle shape and since we don’t have anything like this in our collection we are thrilled to have received these!
The final item in this season’s Oceanista package is this pair of bowls and spoons made from discarded coconuts. We will be honest and say that this is our absolute favorite item in this box and we just love that we have these in our collection now. Each bowl saves a coconut, helps the environment and supports rural craftspeople!
The spoons are made from reclaimed ebony wood which makes a great plastic replacement!
The coconut inside is sanded to give it a smoother and more polished appearance. These are so cool!
So in summary
