Subscription Box Review
Our first glimpse inside the DriftAway Coffee Subscription.
Everything that we received in our Driftaway Coffee Tasting Kit. There is a total of 8 ounces included and each has it’s own card that tells us about our coffee.
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert
This tells us that each bag of coffee represents one of the different flavor profiles – either fruity, classic, balanced or bold.
Our first coffee (each coffee is whole bean so you’ll need a grinding method) is from Kayanza Mbirizi Burundi. It’s a bourbon varietal and represents the “Fruity” flavor profile. It’s tasting notes are caramel, citrus and grape.
We love the cards that are included with our coffees, they give us a lot of information about our coffees!
Next up is this Kindeng Waghi Valley Papau New Guinea coffee. This is our “Bold” single origin coffee. This coffee has notes of chocolate, brown sugar as well as earthy.
This coffee is an Arusha varietal.
Then we have 2 ounces of Cusco Yanatile Peruvian Coffee. This coffee represents our “Balanced” origin and has notes of citrus, floral and black tea.
Another bourbon varietal, this coffee was our absolute favorite.
The final coffee in our Driftaway Coffee Box is this 2 ounce bag of Efrain Landaverde El Salvadorian Coffee. This single origin coffee has notes of toasted cereal, dried berry and walnut.
This varietal is Pacas, Catimor.
