Subscription Box Review
My first glimpse inside the Gramma in a Box for July. This month we’ll be making Patriotic themed snacks.
Everything that came in my Gramma in a Box for July. What a cute children’s subscription box!
So what is all this stuff?
My box insert. This tells us more about the month’s theme and also lists the items that were include in my box.
There’s also an instruction card included for each of the three projects for the month.
Unfortunately one of my sprinkle containers opened in transit. These would have been used in my cookie decorating project.
Every box from Gramma comes with three bags of frosting. This month we received red, white and blue.
These multicolored sprinkles and stars mixture will also be used in our final project – cookie decorating!
These multi-colored pareils will be used in our first project – Sparkler Pretzel Rods.
These rice crispies will be used in our second project – Star Spangled Crispy Bites.
These peanuts will also be used in our Star Spangled Crispy Bites project.
Each package from Gramma comes with 8 cookies. This month our four large cookies are two large stars and two large rectangles.
There were also six pretzel sticks included in my box as well. These will be used in our first project – Sparkler Pretzel Rods.
Our four smaller cookies for the month are these four stars.
Every box from Gramma also comes with a cup of melting chocolate. This month we received white chocolate with red and blue flecks in it. Typically this is used in both our first and second project.
These red sugar crystals will be used in our third cookie decorating project.
These six mini cupcake liners will be used in our second project – Star Spangled Crispy Bites.
Finally in our box is our two sheets of wax paper. These come in every box from Gramma and will be used in all of our projects to make cleanup simple and easy!
Okay so now what?
Now we (I since my kids are at their own Grandma’s) will get to crafting.
First I gather everything I’ll need for the first project. The pretzel rods, chocolate (melted), and the red white and blue non pareils.
Working quickly I dip my pretzels in the chocolate.
And then into the sprinkles. I broke a couple on accident (woops) It’s so much cleaner to do this without my kids around – haha also sad face.
Next I gather everything that I need for my second project. For this one I needed the peanuts, rice crispies, M&M’s, remaining melting chocolate and cupcake liners.
This one is pretty simple. Add the peanuts and rice crispies to the remaining melting chocolate.
Then we add a dollop of the melting chocolate to each of the mini cupcakes liners.
Finally we top each with an M&M!
For our final project we collect all of our remaining ingredients. There’s the frosting, eight cookies, sprinkles and sugar crystals.
I had a lot of fun decorating each of these cookies… to be honest though I though I was a much better artist than this!
Here are all of my completed candy and cookie crafts. And just so you guys know… I didn’t eat them. I gave them to my neighbors.
So in summary
Presentation: I was a bit bummed that the one cup came open in the box but it worked out okay in the end anyway
Quality: I love all the different sprinkles that are included in each box!
Curation: This box had a great theme and all the items came together perfectly!
